The students took their science and math tests today.  The will have a graded science test to bring home tomorrow- their graded math tests will come home on Monday.

Tomorrow we get out of school at 11:45.  Please be on time 🙂

Homework today- study your spelling words for the spelling test tomorrow. That’s it! Have a great night.

Don’t forget to bring in cans or boxed goods for the Thanksgiving donation can drive.

Homework tonight:

We have a science and math test tomorrow.  We did science Jeopardy today and the students did very well but they still need to practice the study guide at testmoz.com/924951.  Remember practice makes perfect.

Every student took home their math study guide last Friday- they have had 6 days to practice.  Just in case they lost it our test is on even and odd numbers, fact families, writing a number sentence for a story problem, adding with a number line, and drawing a picture to represent the addition problem.  Happy Studying 🙂

Tuesday:

  1. Homework tonight: Practice the Math study guide your child brought home on Friday.  I gave every child a math study guide on Friday which we filled in so they would have the correct answer.  I will not post this online because I use it every year.  If your child lost his please send a note and I will make a copy of my personal one. Test is Thursday!
  2. Today in class we practiced the study guide for science that I posted yesterday yesterday. Please practice tonight at well- Test is Thursday!

*Because of having 2 tests this week students have been given the opportunity to work on spelling BINGO activities during word work. Your child may have finished 4 activities already this week 🙂  If not remember they are due on Thursday.

Tomorrow is the first day of Motor Moms and Dads. Parent volunteers will be coming into our classroom to work on motor skills with each student. Mr. Evens and Mrs. Mcmahon will be available to help the parent volunteers. It should be a fun and beneficial program for all of our students!

Happy Monday:

This week is the end of the marking period- we are finishing our units in math and science this week.  Our tests will be on Thursday- This ensures that we have enough time to review for both subjects.  The math study guides went home on Friday- please practice this tonight for homework.  Here is the online science study guide.  testmoz.com/924951  Just like with social studies you make take it as many times as you like so start studying 🙂

  2. Complete spelling activity- words on this weekend’s post
  3. Our social studies test is Thursday 10/27/16.  The study guide is online at the site: Students may take it as many times as they need to.  Please have them put in their name OR their number.  The only other person who can see the results besides you is me 🙂https://testmoz.com/905303So far only 9 students have taken the practice study guide quiz.  Some of them have taken it several times and their score has gone from 60% to 100%.  That is wonderful! Keep up the great work

Tomorrow (Tuesday, 10-25-2016) Mr. Evens will be running the Motor Moms and Dads training session at Oakman’s cafeteria from8:50am-10:30pm. Please remember to bring paper and pencil to take notes!
