Hello Parents,

This week in school we will be continuing the units we began last week.

Spelling this week (our test is on Friday): has, sat, will, fix, him, find, three, funny, was, but.  Weekly homework sheets were sent home over the weekend for students to begin.  Students are to choose 4 activities on the sheet to do over the course of the week; spelling assignments are due on Thursday every week.

ELA: We are working on folktales and learning to look for the lesson or message in a folk tale.

Science: We are beginning a unit on matter.  We are learning how good scientists investigate matter using their senses.

Social Studies: Our unit is on community: what makes up a community and what does our community in Dearborn look like.

Math: We are working on skip counting including counting by 5’s and 10’s, 100’s charts, and comparing 2 numbers.

Remember Open House is this Thursday from 6:00-7:30
