Hello Everyone:

Happy Monday.  Tonight we have two items of homework.  1) Do Math PPS page 324  and 2) Do a weekly spelling homework activity.  The words this week are : clown, growl, round, crown, loud, six, never, seven, today, myself, polygon, surface, February

 

I will not be sending home the math tests that the students took last week.  The students did not get enough time to cover the material so I am going to go back and reinforce many of these concepts.  I will retest them on the skills in 2 weeks and send home the test then.  The child will receive the higher test score in my grade book.

Every child should be done with their DRA tests this week and Friday you will take home a report with your child’s current DRA level.

Table 6 was the tally award winner so they are all invited to a pizza lunch on Friday. Yah table 6!

Parent Computer Workshop at Oakman on Friday

Hello Parents,

It is time for our Parent Computer Workshop. Please join us this Friday, January 27th at 8:55am in the computer lab UPSTAIRS near the library. You will learn new computer skills, how to access the teacher and school website, and how to increase your child’s academic success with online websites. You will also learn advanced skills like creating an email, using Google, blocking dangerous sites and knowing video game ratings.  This is a great class for parents.

Each adult will have their own computer to work on. No children or strollers permitted in the computer lab.

لقد حان الوقت لدورة تدربية للاهل على إستعمال الحاسوب. نحن نعرف بأن العديد من اهلنا بحاجة لمهارات الحاسوب المختلفة.  الرجاء الانضمام الينا نهارالجمعة الواقع في 27 كانون الثاني/يناير الساعة 8:55 دقيقة صباحاً في غرفة الكمبيوترقرب المكتبةا.  سوف نتعلم كيفية الوصول الى واستعمال المواقع المختلفة للمدرسة بالاضافة الى بعض المهارات المتقدمة كالبرمجة.

عذراً:  الرجاء عدم اصطحاب الاطفال.  نأمل حضوركم وشكراً لكم.

Homework tonight:

  1. The 4 weekly spelling activities are due tomorrow.
  2. Math test tomorrow.
  3. Social studies test tomorrow.

Practice both of your study guides and go to the online social studies study guide under Monday’s post.

Lunch tomorrow: tomorrow’s Chef’s choice will be  Salad bar with garlic bread sticks.

Happy Monday.  Homework tonight:

  1. Practice for the NWEA reading test tomorrow morning by going online to Myon and Moby Max reading and language.
  2. Your math study guide is coming home.  Please practice tonight- your math test is on Thursday.

Happy Friday 🙂

Today the students took their NWEA math test and I have pleased to report that many students saw double digit growth!  Some students did struggle with taking their time and focusing-please remind your child to do their very best and take their time.  We will take their NWEA Reading test on Tuesday next week after the students go to PE.  We also have an end of the unit math test and an end of the unit social studies test that we need to take next week.  Both tests will be on Thursday: This is so we have 3 days to review the material and allows everyone the ability to take the tests.  Here is the social studies online study guide- remember you can take it as many times as you want. testmoz.com/1039131

تبدأ عادات التغذیة والصحة عند الولادة، وهي ضروریة لنمط حیاة صحیة یستمر مدى الحیاة. تناول مجموعة متنوعة من الفواكه والخضروات یومیا یعطي الأطفال الطاقة اللازمة

للنمو والتعلم والتحرك. إضافة إلى ان دعم الأطفال للتمكن من الاهتمام بأنفسهم و الاعتناء بالصحة الشخصیة واكتساب مهارات مساعدة الذات مهم جداً لبناء الثقة بالنفس

والاستقلال.

العنایة بالأسنان لدى الأطفال الصغار مهمة جداً حیث أنها تؤثر على صحة اسنانهم طوال حیاتهم. حیث وجد مركز “السیطرة على الأمراض” أن أكثر من 40 في المائة أطفال یتعرضون

لتسوس الأسنان قبل أن بلوغهم مرحلة ریاض الأطفال. للأسف ، إذا لم یتم علاج مشاكل الاسنان ، یمكن أن یؤدي ذلك إلى عدم القدرة على المضغ أو التحدث بشكل صحیح.

الصحیة الاجتماعیة والعاطفیة والجسدیة تحدد الأساس للتعلم مدى الحیاة. التنمیة في هذا المجال تساوي و ان لم تكن أكثر أهمیة، الاكادیمیات المبكرة التي تحدد مدى الاستعداد للمدرسة.

كما و یعتبر تشجیع التفاعل وبناء العلاقات، وتوفیر فرص اللعب للأطفال من العناصر الحیویة في خلق الصلة اللازمة لتأسیس الاستقلالیة، و الإحساس بالمجتمع والتنمیة المعنویة

والقدرة على حل المشكلات و النزاعات لدیهم.

بات امضاء الوقت امام الشاشة والتقنیات الحدیثة یشغل كل جزء من حیاتنا. یمكن للتقنیات الحدیثة دعم وتوسیع نطاق التعلم للطفل إذا ما تمت تحت اشراف و ارشادات الكبار البالغین

الذین یفهمون أنه الوقت الذي یتم قضاءه قرب وسائل الإعلام ینبغي أن لا یسیطر ابدأ على بیئة التعلم أو استبدال الخبرات المباشرة بخبرات بدیلة.

الریاضیات هي أكثر من مجرد أرقام وعملیات حسابیة. تتمحور الریاضیات في مرحلة الطفولة المبكرة حول اكتشاف حیاتهم الیومیة والبیئة المحیطة، و الربط بین الاشیاء التي

یقوم بها الأطفال من خلال تلك التجارب. عبر اللعب بعدد من الالعاب مثل الالغاز و الاحاجي ، وضع أكواب التعشیش والمكعبات والنرد ومواد أخرى تعلم الأطفال المفاهیم

الأساسیة التي سوف تساعدهم في المواقف والمهارات والمعارف اللازمة لإتقان الریاضیات لاحقاً.

یبدأ تعلم اللغة و التواصل مع الآخرین عند الولادة عن طریق قدرة الرضیع على ایصال احتیاجاته/ها بإشارات سرعان ما تتحول إلى كلمات. في السنوات التالیة، یتطور الاطفال

لیصبحوا مستخدمین للغة ویطورون مهاراتهم و كفاءتهم كمستمعین ومتكلمین وقراء وكتاب. تشجع هذه المهارات وتتطور من خلال تجاربهم البیئیة و اللغة التي تشمل

المحادثات، الرموز، ألعاب الكلمات، والأغاني والاناشید والقصص.

الموسیقى والحركة شيء طبیعي للأطفال الصغار. من لحظة تهدئته بتهویدة الى غناء اغنیته المفضلة ، تسمح الموسیقى للأطفال بالتعبیر عن مشاعرهم. مع أو بدون موسیقى، یستكشف الأطفال

الحركة بكل الطرق و الخطوات باستخدام أجسامهم وأجزاء منها خلال روتین حیاتهم الیومیة.

تبنى العلوم على الاحاسیس الطبیعة بالتعجب و الفضول عند الأطفال. إن الأطفال متعلمون نشطاء في بیئتهم حیث انهم یلاحظون و یسألون و یخمنون و یرسمون نهایات و یتوصلون الى نتائج

نهائیة باستخدام حواسهم الخمس . على البالغین ان یكون نموذج یحتذى به في اظهار المواقف الإیجابیة تجاه العلوم كما علیهم تشجیع الأطفال على إدراك وممارسة المهارات التي تشجع الطفل
