Hello Everyone:

Homework tonight:

1. Practice addition and subtraction flash cards (bring math bags back tomorrow)
2. Do a weekly spelling assignment- I reposted the spelling BINGO sheet last week if you had lost yours.

This week in class we are learning about the following:

ELA: Plural words (regular nouns and irregular nouns); long and short o words; fiction story elements.

Spelling:

Math: We are learning about addition and subtraction fact families- Please work on addition and subtraction with your child: he/she is bringing home their math bags.

Science: Matter: specifically measuring with rulers, measuring tapes, beakers, and measuring cups.

Social Studies: We are continuing to learn about communities. A study guide will come home next week- The test will be the first week of November.

Writing: It is our final week of narrative writing. The students are finishing their narratives that take place at their favorite location in Dearborn.

Important NOTES:

-Our second grade parent meeting is Thursday at 9:00 AM. It will end at 10:00. Please plan on joining us if possible.

-Friday is a 1/2 Day.  School gets out at 11:45
