Empty Bowls was a great success! Once again, all of Howard’s bowls, created by our 5th graders were gone before the evening was over! Thank you to all who made bowls, and especially to the families in attendance of the Empty Bowls event last night at Park Place! We raised $3,560 for Gleaners and Blessings in a Backpack!
A 5th grade student brought to my attention this very cool new art tool! 3D PEN!!!!! It is probably most appropriate for older students as it does have a heating element! Here is a link to find it on Amazon –

I have not tried it yet, but trust the opinion of this student whose mother is also an art teacher!
Crayola Model Magic is a fabulous, light-weight, air-dry clay great for all ages!
Sculpey Clay is an oven-bake clay that is great for making many items with, including jewelry items. There are TONS of tutorials on YouTube for using polymer clay. It comes in sets of colors or singles.
Both can be purchased from Amazon and Michaels (watch for Michael’s 40% coupons!)
Muffalo Potato is a great YouTube Drawing Site that uses letters and numbers to teach persons of all ages to draw basic objects! All you need is paper and a drawing utensil of any kind!
Beautiful art work!
