7th Grade: Today students traded design directions pages and tried to duplicate a classmate’s design simply by following their directions. We discussed how this relates to science, and why scientists must be very clear in their description of procedures for science experiments. We also created a list of norms for collaboration when working in groups during science class. For homework students should answer the following question: “How could being unclear in your description of procedures affect the results of an experiment?”
