    • Solid: The state of matter in which the volume and shape of a substance are fixed.
    • Liquid: The state of matter that has a definite volume but not a definite shape.
  • Planner: Chapter 2 Section 1 Notes. Questions 1-7 on page 35.
  • Homework: Notes & Questions.

8th Grade:

  • Bellwork: Write down what you feel comfortable discussing when you present your moon phase drawing to the class. You will use this list in your group in a few minutes.

    • Atomic number is a number that describes the amount of protons and electrons in an atom of a certain element.

    • Scale:the size of a sample (as a model) in proportion to the size of the actual thing.
