We worked on a Ratio Picture Project in class Friday and today making a picture from shapes and writing ratios using ratio language. If this was not completed in class, it is due tomorrow.

Khan Academy homework is 30 minutes for the week using MAP recommended practice.

Also, today is the last day to complete 30 minutes on Khan Academy using MAP NWEA recommended practice. We had at least 20 minutes of class time this week so I will be looking for at least 45 minutes total of Khan minutes for the week.

Over the next 3 weeks, we will spend bellwork reviewing and prepping for the M-Step. Each student received a folder with this work. Please make sure you bring it to class each day.

Ratio and Proportions: We are working in stations today and over the next few days to demonstrate application of ratios and ratio relationships between two quantities.

Khan Academy 30 minutes this week is to use the NWEA MAP recommended practice to practice skills at your level. Use the levels I stapled into your planner.

Please complete 45 minutes of individualized practice on Khan Academy by going to “NWEA Map recommended practice” and entering in the minimum score for each subject that I stapled in your planners on March 31.

You will have until Sunday, April 9 to complete your minutes!

Go to https://www.khanacademy.org/mappers and enter in your NWEA score for each goal. You can also go to Khanacademy.org and search “map recommended practice.”

Below is an example of what I attached to your child’s planner with the range of their scores for each subject. Please enter in the low score in the range on Khan Academy.

Number System: Our last SLOT quiz on converting fraction, decimal and percent will be tomorrow.

Ratio and Proportions: Today we further investigated ratio relationships using M&M’s. Homework is the Ratio Practice Assessment and #3 if not completed in class (see homework attachments) Test on this will be tomorrow.
