Tomorrow is the Ratio Problems quiz. We completed and reviewed in class today and this is included in homework attachments as the answer key. Please use Ratio Problems handouts 1-6 to review as well.

Number System: We will be taking our last SLOT quiz for GCF tomorrow.
Ratio and Proportions: We wrote the definitions for Ratio and Proportion Unit in the back of our ISN using quizlet which is a link that can be found on the blog. Under “Class Links” click on Ratio and Proportions quizlet which shows the definitions but a lot of fun ways to practice using the vocabulary! See homework attachments for the vocabulary list and the Ratio Problems handout #5-6. The quiz for Ratio Problems will be Wednesday.

Number Systems: SLOT stands for Sustained Learning Over Time. We work on SLOT daily with the same skill over a weeks time. This week is finding the greatest common factor. The current SLOT score in the grade book for GCF is the first and will be updated throughout the week.
Ratio and Proportions: We are working on a project creating a picture using shapes. We will be using our picture to write ratios, use ratio language and calculate equivalent ratios. Homework is Ratio Problems page 1 and 2 (see homework attachments).
Khan Academy is 20 minutes due Friday. Skills include: Basic Ratios and Equivalent Ratios

Number Systems: We have started S.L.O.T (sustained learning over time) with finding the GCF (greatest common factor) of two or more numbers. We practiced using whiteboards and took our first quiz with a partner. Tomorrow we will take our next SLOT quiz. Please bring dry erase markers to class everyday in your pencil pouch! Donations of dry erase markers are always welcome and thank you so much for supporting our learning!
Ratio and Proportions: We checked our exit tickets and practiced ratio reasoning with a partner. The homework is the Ratio Practice Assessment (see homework attachments). Quiz is tomorrow!

Number System: We completed a frayer model in our ISN for factors and started to list factors to 100. Homework is to complete this (in our Unit 1 Number System notebook). We will be using this knowledge to begin our first S.L.O.T. in finding the greatest common factor of two or more numbers.
The divisibility quiz was returned today and if you want a retake, it needs to be signed and returned to me tomorrow and we will set up a time to retake after school.
Ratio and Proportions: We have Ratio Practice #3 for homework (see attachments). We completed an exit ticket today. Students will have that back tomorrow for feedback and the quiz will be Monday.

Number System: We continued working with the divisibility rules and took a short quiz.
Ratio and Proportions: We investigated ratios using M & M’s! We created part-to-part and part-to-whole as well as equivalent ratios. Homework is to complete Ratio Practice #1 (back) and Ratio Practice #2 both sides (see homework attachments).

Number System: We are using divisibility rules to determine whether larger numbers are divisible by 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9 or 10. Use your ISN notes to help with homework (see homework attachments). We will have a brief quiz on this tomorrow.
Ratio and Proportions: Complete the front side of Ratio Practice #1 (see homework attachments) using ratio language, determining if ratios are equivalent and creating equivalent ratios.
