Number System: Tomorrow we will be finishing up the SLOT on multiplying fractions and mixed numbers. It’s a good idea to work on those skills on Khan Academy.
Expressions and Equations: We completed a few foldables on powers and exponents, refer to pages 30 to 31 in our ISN. Homework is a practice handout (see homework attachments).
Vocabulary will be checked on Thursday (back of ISN). Use the blog to find the definitions.
Khan Academy is 20 minutes and complete by Friday. Skills include:

Expressions and Equations: To start out the next unit, homework is to complete writing the definitions into the ISN. Most classes had time to work on this today, but because we had an assembly, 1st block did not. You can find the definitions in the blog, under Vocabulary, it’s the first link, “Math Vocabulary Updated.” The word list is also under the title of the unit in the vocabulary tab or in homework attachments. Definitions are due Thursday.
Portfolio work from the first card marking was sent home today. ALSO, CLEAN OUT YOUR MATH BINDER from all the Ratio and Proportions paperwork.
Khan Academy is 20 minutes due Friday. New skills assigned are:

Ratio and Proportions: We reviewed for our Unit Test on Ratio and Proportions. The answer key to this practice test is also included in homework attachments. Test is a district common assessment online and is on Monday!

Ratio and Proportions: Homework is to complete practice problems using the percent proportion method (see homework attachments). We completed a foldable and practice problems in our ISN on pages 28 and 29.

Number Systems: We took our first SLOT quiz on multiplying fractions and mixed numbers.
Ratio and Proportions: We are using the percent proportion method to solve percent problems. Homework is Finding Percent of a Number pages 1-2. In homework attachments, the first two pages were completed in our ISN on page 28 in class today and the second two pages are homework.
Complete 20 minutes on Khan Academy by Friday.

Number Systems: We began multiplying fractions and mixed numbers in SLOT today. The first SLOT quiz will be tomorrow. Review concepts in our foldable in the ISN on page 27.
Ratio and Proportions: This unit is coming to an end this week and we will be taking the district common assessment on Monday. This is a unit test that covers all concepts we have learned in Ratio and Proportions. Friday we will take and review the practice test and I will post the answer key for your reference in homework attachments on Friday.

Number Systems: We are subtracting fractions and mixed numbers in SLOT.
Ratio and Proportions: We have been working in stations this week. Work from all stations will be collected tomorrow. Make sure your CER is complete as well as the ilearn practice vocabulary test (write your score on your stations form).
Khan Academy is 40 minutes due tomorrow. The increased minutes are due to one of the stations included working on Khan. There were a number of skills assigned, see your assignments in Khan and check off as many as you have completed on your stations form.
