Well, we’ve started basketball. YIPPEE!! It’s just about everyone’s favorite sport. You only need a ball and a hard surface to dribble the ball . Jumping rope is a favorite, also! You just need a rope! These are 2 of the activities we are practicing in PE class. There will also be assessments and grades for those 2 activities.
I hope you are going to be tuned in to the Big 10 Championship Basketball Game on Saturday (12/5) night! It’s going to be quite a game with the Iowa Hawkeyes playing the MICHIGAN STATE SPARTANS!! Guess who I’m rooting for????
I got up bright and early on Thanksgiving day to run a 5K Race! It was the Ann Arbor Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot. Eleven of my family members (including me) braved the rain and started our day with a fun 3.1 mile run. We then went to my sister”s house and enjoyed a day of visiting and eating. Good thing we ran that race and had our exercise that morning!
Here’s a Healthy Tid Bit:
Breakfast is a very important meal. Just like a car needs gasoline to run, our bodies need food fuel to work. Especially after a night’s sleep, our bodies need to refuel for the new day! Not eating breakfast leaves us without energy. Children especially need breakfast to be ready for a great energized day at school. Toast, juice, cereal with milk, fruit, or yogurt are great choices. Just skip the sugary cereals!
Until next time….Go Green!!!
