All grades are working on basketball skills. Dribbling and passing are the 2 main skills that are being practiced by all grades. Third, 4th and 5th grades are also jumping rope, getting ready for the big test in January!
This is also the time of year for basketball at the college level. Michigan and Michigan State (yay!) men’s and women’s teams have started their seasons. I’ll be attending 3 MSU men’s basketball games over the winter break in December.
I’ll let you know the outcomes! This is the time of year when it’s cold outside and we want to stay in our warm home. Well, it’s time to bundle up and get outside and get some exercise! Walk or jog around the block. Rake the last of the
leaves-then jump in the pile. If it’s not snowing you can still ride your bike. Get the snow shovels ready-shoveling snow is good exercise-especially when you can use the extra snow to make a snowman. There are plenty of activities you can do outside, so get outside and do them.
Just an update on the Cipriano Run! The 4th and 5th Grade Runners had a great time! The weather was a bit cool, but it didn’t deter our Henry Ford Runners from doing their best! Juliauna Karkaba came in 3rd Place out of all of the 5th grade girls! Congratulations, Juliauna!
Have a sunny day!
