Sweet to Compete Invitational!! Our First Competition Saturday February 13th

YAY!! Our first competition!!

Date/Location: Saturday February 13th, 2021 at Semmer Middle School – 1920 W. Oregon St., Lapeer, MI 48446

We do have a bus!!!! You will need to be at Stout Middle School on Saturday at 6:15 am! The bus will leave at 6:15 am! All athletes must ride the bus to the competition! You need to come dressed and ready with your uniform on underneath something comfortable to wear on the bus- they will not allow us to use a locker room due to Covid so uniforms need to be on prior to getting on the bus.

Time/Schedule:

8:00- Team Registration

8:55 – National Anthem

9:00- Competition Begins

Competition should be over around 11 am. Each athlete can have 2 vouchers for someone to attend. They will still need to pay $5 each. Spectators mush enter through the events entrance. Due to current COVID rules, no team will be permitted to enter before their scheduled time as the previous session has to be completed and building emptied, cleaned and sanitized. Once a team takes the mat in any round, spectator will NOT be allowed to enter or exit the gymnasium. Tripods and extension cords of any kind are prohibited. For the safety of all athletes, flash photography during competitions is strictly prohibited.

Due to current COVID rules, all spectators will be require to have an event voucher in order to attend. (Each athlete receives 2 vouchers for their guests) $5.00 Adults. Only Cheerleaders in uniform, Coaches and babies-in-arms will be admitted free of charge. NO Passes will be accepted.

CONCESSIONS/VENDORS:

Due to current COVID restrictions concessions will not be provided. Vendors will be available via pre-orders only. Orders can be placed online at: http://www.hiltonscreenersinc.com/sweettocompet. All orders need to be submitted by February 10, 2021 at 4:00 pm.

VIRTUAL PRACTICE

Ladies,
We will need to begin Virtual Practices. I would like to have a brief Zoom meeting to discuss logistics and what it will all look like tomorrow. Would you be available for a zoom meeting tomorrow at 3:30 pm. I will email you the link to our zoom meeting. Please email me if you have any questions.

If you do not see you number, we want to say thank you so much for trying out. Please keep working hard on your skills and keep your head up. We are always looking for team managers/equipment managers. If you would like to volunteer to be a part of our team as a manager and still come to practices then please let Coach Wheble know.

Remember there is a mandatory parent and student athlete team meeting tonight at 7:30pm via zoom. It will be a brief meeting to discuss the season, requirements and answer any questions athletes or parents have at this time. The link was in your packet and will be emailed to all team members student emails today!

Stout/Smith Fusion Cheer!!

Tryout Clinics are as follows:

Wednesday October 21st from 3:00-4:30 pm at Stout Middle School

Thursday October 22nd from 3:00-4:30 pm at Stout Middle School

Tryouts will be held on Friday October 23rd and Monday October 26th. Athletes will be given a 15 minute time slot to try out in. Please wait for your athlete to complete their tryouts in the parking lot outside.

Team numbers will be posted on Tuesday October 27th.
