Classroom News from Room 211

Good Morning!

This is our first full week of school. It is really important that students are get enough sleep every night. Second graders need 10-12 hours of sleep each night  and should be going to bed by 8:30 to get  a good nights sleep. Many students lay their heads on their desks during the school day. A bedtime routine will help students calm their bodies and minds to get ready for sleep. The bedtime routine can include reading before bed.

Weekly Spelling Words

This week we will have 15 words on our spelling list. Students should be studying their words daily at home as part of their homework.

Pattern words – cap, cape, hat, hate, at, ate, mad, made, tap, tape

Sight words- ask, take, as, fast, after

The Henry Ford Open House is Thursday, September 13, from 6:00-7:30.  Hope to see you there!
