Friday, November 1st is a half day. Students will be dismissed at 11:45.
Halloween will be a bit different this year. We will not have a class party. We will have a school wide parade with candy passed out. Please see notice.
Wednesday night is Social Studies Night from 5:00-6:30. There will be many activities for the children. Come and meet the City Clerk and register to vote.

This weeks spelling words have open and closed syllables.
A closed syllable ends in a consonant and usually has a short vowel sound.
An open syllable ends in a vowel and usually has a long vowel sound.

Friday is a half day so teachers can attend an afternoon of Professional Development. School will be dismissed at 11:45.
The next Late Start is Wednesday, October 16th. School begins at 9:40.
We will begin our Spelling program this week. The spelling words will be in your child’s planner every Monday. The test will be on Friday. Students should practice daily.

We have something new this year! Student of the Month! A Student of the Month is a good citizen, has a positive attitude toward others, is responsible, has good attendance, has a good work ethic, and has good behavior.
