Late Start – Wednesday, October 16th.

This weeks spelling words have open and closed syllables.

A closed syllable ends in a consonant and usually has a short vowel sound.

An open syllable ends in a vowel and usually has a long vowel sound.

Please see the note about the Parent Meeting in your child’s folder.

Friday is a half day so teachers can attend an afternoon of Professional Development. School will be dismissed at 11:45.

The next Late Start is Wednesday, October 16th. School begins at 9:40.

We will begin our Spelling program this week. The spelling words will be in your child’s planner every Monday. The test will be on Friday. Students should practice daily.

We are in need of Kleenex if you can spare a box. Thank you.

We have something new this year! Student of the Month! A Student of the Month is a good citizen, has a positive attitude toward others, is responsible, has good attendance, has a good work ethic, and has good behavior. There are many students who qualified. I am happy to announce that our September Student of the Month is Nermeen!
