The first week of school, I reviewed my classroom expectations and syllabus with students. Then, they drew illustrations of what those expectations look like. Here are some of their beautiful drawings!

This week in Language Arts, we began reading The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. This is one of my all time favorite novels, and a book students are enthusiastic about reading. In class, we will do a variety of activities with the book. So far, students have been assigned vocabulary, discussion questions, and a storyboard to help them understand the characters and plot.
