WELCOME!

Dear Lowrey Families,

Although we are starting off this school year in an unconventional way, I am very excited to be an integral part of your child’s life and education during this challenging time. I never imagined I’d be teaching during a pandemic, but I believe that we will all come out of this stronger and smarter than we were before. To introduce myself, I am Ms. Sorenson. I teach 7th and 8th grade ELA. I am extremely passionate and dedicated to my students; their well being and education are always my number one priority, especially as we navigate through this crisis together. In this unprecedented time, my number one expectation is for students and families to communicate with me. The quickest way to contact me is through email (sorenss@dearbornschools.org). Efficient communication makes the virtual experience better for all parties involved. I will go above and beyond to meet the needs of all of you to ensure the best possible learning experience for the students. I am here to assist with any questions or concerns you may have. P.S. For students and parents inquiring about supplies, I typically require writing utensils, a binder (1½ inch-2 inch preferred), 5 tabs, college ruled paper for the binder, a notebook, and colored utensils (colored pencils or highlighters). If you have any issues acquiring supplies, please contact me, and I will do my best to provide you with these materials.
