PEEK AT THE WEEK
- Our letter of the week was the letter “G”. We read an interactive letter book, sang letter G songs, stamped the letter, and glued down pictures of items that start with the letter to a grape vine
- Our core vocab word of the week was the word “go”. We read Go Away Big Green Monster and used our props to tell the parts of the monster to go away, we had the children go fishing for colors, and we made the balls in a toy go faster and faster
- We read many books including The Hungry Witch and There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Bat
- The children sorted trees by season after reading the story The Changing Tree. We talked about how trees look during each of the four seasons
- We took turns rolling die and counting the number we landed on then we fed our monkey prop that many bananas
- The children worked on their fine motor skills with puzzles, put in jars, nuts and bolts, and shape sorters
- We drew in our journals
