Newsletter for the Week of September 16th

PEEK AT THE WEEK

  • Our letter of the week was the letter “B”.  We read an interactive letter book, sang letter B songs, stamped the letter, and glued down pictures that start with the letter B to a bee hive
  • Our core vocab word of the week was the word “big”.  We sorted object by big and small, read a book with a voice output device, and listened to songs with the word big
  • We played on the playground and took walks after lunch
  • We read many books including Mouse Paint, If You Give a Cat a Cupcake, and What Makes a Rainbow
  • The children drew in their journals
  • Ms. Staci came in and did sensory and fine motor activities with us.  We got to swing on the therapy swing and crawl through tunnels
  • The children practiced sorting by color by scooping up crabs with a shovel and dumping them in the matching colored bin
  • We worked on identifying the first letter in our names by decorating them with stickers
  • The children practiced counting by rolling dice, counting what number it landed on, then they counted out that many keys to put on a key ring
  • We finger painted with blue and yellow to make green just like in Mouse Paint
