Newsletter for the Week of December 2nd

PEEK AT THE WEEK

  • Our letter of the week was the letter “L”.  We read an interactive letter book, sang letter L  songs, stamped the letter, and glued down pictures of items that start with the letter to leaves
  • Our core vocab word of the week was the word “like”.  We talked about things we like such as foods and toys
  • We read many books including One, Two, Buckle my Shoe, A Very Special Snowflake, and Ten Playful Penguins
  • The children made cookies with Mrs. Gallery, our speech therapist
  • We sponge painted snowmen that are hanging in the hall outside our room
  • The students listened to the story, Snowmen at Night, and then got to tell the class what they would do if they were a snowman at night
  • We practiced counting and number recognition with a Christmas counting book.  For each item on the pages we read we stacked that many blocks
  • On Friday we got to have extra gym time! It was nice to get some extra movement into our day
