PEEK AT THE WEEK
- Our letter of the week was the letter “L”. We read an interactive letter book, sang letter L songs, stamped the letter, and glued down pictures of items that start with the letter to leaves
- Our core vocab word of the week was the word “like”. We talked about things we like such as foods and toys
- We read many books including One, Two, Buckle my Shoe, A Very Special Snowflake, and Ten Playful Penguins
- The children made cookies with Mrs. Gallery, our speech therapist
- We sponge painted snowmen that are hanging in the hall outside our room
- The students listened to the story, Snowmen at Night, and then got to tell the class what they would do if they were a snowman at night
- We practiced counting and number recognition with a Christmas counting book. For each item on the pages we read we stacked that many blocks
- On Friday we got to have extra gym time! It was nice to get some extra movement into our day
