Newsletter for the Week of September 30th

PEEK AT THE WEEK

  • Our letter of the week was the letter “D”.  We read an interactive letter book, sang letter D songs, stamped the letter, and glued down pictures that start with the letter D to dog bone, and traced a dinosaur
  • Our core vocab word of the week was the word “down”.  We went down the slide, danced to songs where we had to stand up then sit down, or fall down, we pushed down doors on cause and effect toys, and sat down in our seats
  • We read many books including 1, 2, 3 Walk and See, Hello Pumpkin, and Five Little Bats Flying in the Night
  • The children practiced counting by rolling a die, counting up the dots and then putting that many keys on a ring
  • We made a candy corn art project during which we practiced using scissors
  • The students used orange paint to paint pumpkins after we read a color book all about the color orange
