Then, recognize the values that helped those family members overcome their barriers. Next, they are to complete the outline of their interview in their Interactive Student Notebooks.

Finally, students are to complete a rough draft of the interview in the newspaper article format that was given to them in class. Directions: Choose one person from the people that you interviewed. Pretend that you are a newspaper reporter and you interviewed them about a certain barrier that they had (making a connection to Jackie Robinson). Write a newspaper article explaining their point of view about their barrier and the values they have that helps them to overcome their barriers in life! Complete the assignment with no spelling, punctuation, and grammar mistakes, and in complete sentences and finish all expected parts!
