Hey there, Band & String Fam!

After much plotting, we’re ready to go this week. I’ve missed your musical selves and look forward to seeing you soon! Here is what’s new:

Google Classroom: All students have been added to Google Classroom. Invitations were sent to your student e-mail. So far, we have just over 20 students that joined so we’re just about 10 away from having our WHOLE class logged on! You guys rock! Keep it up 🙂

Band & String Karate: This is a program we are going to use that will help us stay on top of playing while we learn from home. It’s going to be fun, so buckle up and dust off those instruments 😉 The task and directions are posted on Google Classroom.

Google Hangouts: All Instrumental students are required to come to an Instrumental Google Hangout once per week. If you are not able to attend, please e-mail so I can help. broekhs@dearbornschools.org

Band Google Hangout will be on Tuesdays at 2:00 or whenever students are finished working with Mr. D.

What can you expect for Instrumental?

I will be posting 2 virtual lessons per week. That’s right… 2 lessons of musical goodness!! We’ll also have 2 Google Hangouts per week to check in, play for each other for those that are up to it, and see each other’s fabulous musical faces 🙂

I miss you all so much and truly look forward to connecting with you soon! As soon as I have times set aside for Google Hangouts, I will send out a blog post. Stay tuned!

Good morning,

There are students who are at school prior to 8:25am without supervision.  For the sake of safety, please drop your child off no earlier than 8:25am.  If your child comes for breakfast, please make sure they go straight to the cafeteria no earlier than 8:15am.  Thank you in advance.

There will not be a flute lesson on Monday, October 22. Instead, flute students will join clarinets and saxophones on Tuesday, October 23.

Greetings to our newest members of Snow Instrumental Music! My name is Mrs. Oren and I am so looking forward to a wonderful school year filled with music. You are in for a real treat and I look forward to working with your family this year. Here is our schedule that will begin after instrument fittings are complete next week:

Please help your musician to remember their instrument, a pencil, and their binder or folder with their sheet music.
