This week was fun. We worked on beginning and ending moves. I am impressed with some of our players who have checked out of the library Chess books and are sharing the information with their teammates. Way to go. Just a reminder, we will not be having Chess Club next week due to no school on Tuesday, November 8th and Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, November 10th. I will miss everyone. Please try and practice over this week. Thanks and have a great weekend.
I want to thank Mr. Metropolis for coming and helping us with Chess Club. He is the grandfather of Preston and Xander. He is great. Also Josh Schuler and Dillion Christ are helping as well. Thank you Thank you. We had good practices. We are working on our ending moves and stalemates.

This week was our first week of Chess Club it was great to see returning players and new players. We will work on basics and then strategies. Please if possible have your child play as much time as they can.

Just a quick reminder Chess will start on October 18th.
In case you have missed it, you can pay at Snow Elementary directly for your child to participate in Chess Club. The cost is $25.00 I am so excited that we will be starting soon.
I am so excited to start our new chess club season. We will begin practice on October 18th from 3:45 to 4:30. I have if you have not already picked up an applications for Chess Club they are on the bulletin board by my classroom; Room 11. As like last year there is a fee to pay. The cost is $25.00 if you pay on line or $30.00 if you write a check or cash. I am trying to find out how to pay on line for you all. Thank you again for allowing me to be your child’s chess coach.
Thank you to everyone for a great Chess Club season. As I said at our party I am so proud of each and every member on our chess team. They worked hard and hopefully had fun as well. I will miss everyone on Tuesday and Thursdays so please be sure to say Hi in the halls. Good luck to my 5th graders. Thank you again parents for a great group of students. I also want to thank you all for the beautiful tulips and gift card it was so thoughtful and I truly appreciate it. Best of everything.

Opps! Sorry about the confusion from last Friday’s Blog. The old saying Haste makes Waste. We do have Chess Club today after school. Chess Club is cancelled for Thursday, March 24th. Thank you to all the parents who caught my mistake.
