Dear World, From Smith Students
Dear World, When I am older and have a family I will tell my children all about what was happening at this time. I’d explain that it’s ok to be scared but it wouldn’t have gotten better if people did nothing. I’ll also say to appreciate the people in the medical field, who work so hard and put their lives at risk just to help other people. When I’m older I hope to be a pediatrician. I will tell my children when I’m older that just because they’re not in the medical field doesn’t mean what they do and love is not important. Just be you but never stand there and do nothing there will always be something you can do to help. Signed – OL Smith Middle School 6th Grader, M.H.

Dear World, From Smith Students
When my kids come home and complain about simple things, I will tell them…. When I was your age I had to be in this thing called quarantine for months because of a disease called the corona virus so your lucky you get to see your friends and hangout with them while I was at home just doing homework. Dear World, From Smith Students
Dear World, it surely is a tough time right now, honestly. But I myself find joy in it and put hard work into this time as well. To find joy during this time is clearly rough at the moment. But when you think about it there are many joyful things, like spending time with family, bonding with the people you love and a lot of other things. What I am trying to say is that in tough times like this, you can find even the littlest bit of happiness that hides within it. D.S. 6th Grade

Dear World, From Smith Students
Dear World, I hope we all defend ourselves from the coronavirus. Hopefully you make money and pay your bills to stay in that house of yours. I will remember this because thousands of people tested positive for this virus and we can’t go to the arcade, school, go karts, nothing fun. In 25 years I will tell them that 2020 was a rough year for me because I don’t like staying home all day. I help my mom and dad by letting the dog out, help my sister, clean the house, and much more. They can’t do everything for us. I hope everybody stays safe and hopes to see you all next year. OL Smith Middle School6th Grade N.W.
