Free Sign Language Class at Smith
Beginning September 24 a class will be offered to families, friends and interested persons wanting to learn and/or improve their sign language skills. The class runs every Tuesday from 6:30-8pm during the school year. Its a great experience in a relaxing environment. The class is free and offered through a college program and not part of Dearborn Schools.

- MEAP Testing Oct. 8-11 and 21 – 23.
- PTSA is having a Boxtops for Education Contest! The A2 with the most boxtops collected will win a breakfast or a pizza lunch. Put them in a baggie that zips closed, put your name and your A2 teacher’s name on the bag, and put it in the boxtop container. Each A2 has a boxtop container. Good luck and start collecting! Contest ends October 18th. PTSA
- Wed., Nov. 13th is picture retake day.
- Parents can have the Smith Counseling Blog added to your email by adding the site to your email address.

Free Informational Program – Teens Using Drugs

Teens Using Drugs: What To Know and What To Do. The program is not a Dearborn Public Schools Program, It is run by Growth Works, a private, non-profit organization serving youth and families in Western Wayne County since 1971. Since its founding, the agency has continued to design innovative programs to meet the needs and challenges of the community. 
The program runs monthly through the end of the school year and is FREE! You can also pick up an informational sheet from the Smith Counseling Department.
