Every Student is Important!
Every year the counseling department (AST) makes rounds to meet all 6th graders in both group classroom (virtual & In person) for an engaging presentation. We discussed various topics and strategies to support students’ success and check on their transition. We had some fun activities that highlighted that our 6th graders can outperform adults in a fun “Common Sense” Quiz they took. We also discussed mapping out the year in preparation for 7th grade.
After the group meetings, I met each student privately to check on their transition, had some wonderful conversations, and answered any questions or concerns a student may have. They were full of inspiring thoughts and excited about their 6th grade experience.
Soon students can begin selecting electives for next school year by logging into their school account. Details coming soon!
