Smith Has Art Talent – Meet Felix!
Smith has some amazing talent. We have an amazing art teacher who spent 16 days at sea researching and was selected from a pool of thousands of teachers. We also have many wonderfully talented students. Meet one of our 6th graders:
Hello, I am Felix Wilson-Schwartz. I attended a week-long photo camp called SURA based at the Arab American Museum. I had a really good time and experience. I think that I learned to be a better photographer. At the camp, we drove all around Dearborn and Detroit, to various locations including the DIA, The Dequindre Cut, The Detroit Artist Test Lab, and the Henry Ford Estates. My favorite photographer is Robert Capa. He was a photographer best known for his photographs of the Spanish Civil War. I also like Irving Penn. I learned about that photographer on a field trip at the photo camp. I like history!!!
We are fortunate to have such an inspiring young talent at Smith and look forward to following Felix’s work. On display at the Arab American National Museum in Dearborn.
