This week we are focusing on particles using these focus questions: Can particles move? video and what causes particles to move ? video Students predicted, drew models, and constructed explanation about mixing of hot and cold water and diffusion of a food coloring in a liquid at different temperature. (INB Pages 11-14 )

Students have explored crosscutting concepts in science: Patterns, cause and effect, systems models, stability and change, scale and proportion, and structure and function. Also, we are working on measurements of objects and data representation and analysis ( e.g reading graphs and tables). Next week, we will start with the Energy unit.
