- There is a ½ day on Friday, November 1st.
- We don’t have school on Tuesday, November 5th, due to election day.
- Operation Gratitude Halloween Give-Back Campaign Underway Candy for a Cause
**We will be collecting candy in the office November 1st-4th. **
SPELLING: We will be working on the short “ell” words. Our words are: tell, spell, sell, shell, bell, yell, smell, fell. Our extra words are: one, two.
WRITING: We wrote informational, non-fiction stories comparing birds and bats. The stories are in the hallway along with our fall stories.
READING: We are still practicing the parts of a story, (character, setting, problem, solution). We will be doing activities about putting stories in correct order. We will also learn about key details of text. We have learned about nouns, and the types of nouns: common and proper nouns. We have also learned about verbs. Next we will learn about adjectives.
MATH: We are still working on Module 1. We are learning how to subtract now. Students should have all lessons 1-35 completed in their homework book.
SCIENCE: We are learning about light and sound.
SOCIAL STUDIES: We are focusing on our science lessons.
We will have another great week!
