Week of November 11th – November 15th
Hello Parents and Guardians,
NEED TO KNOW:
- We will finish Parent – Teacher Conferences this week. Check the homework folders for your day and time!
- Thanksgiving break starts at the end of school on Tuesday, Nov 26th. We are off on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. School resumes Monday, DECEMBER 2nd (this year is flying by!).
- Late start December 18th.
SPELLING: We will be working on the “th” words. I tell the students they need to stick their tongue out just a little bit to say the sound correctly. Our words are: the, this, that, thank, there, then, they, them. Our extra words are: five, six.
WRITING: We will work on writing our opinion pieces.
READING: We will continue to learn how to ask and answer questions for clarification and how to use context clues to learn the meaning of unknown words. We will be learning more about adjectives and how they modify a noun.
MATH: We WILL FINISH Module 1!!! Students should have all lessons 1-39 completed in their homework book. There will be a math test this week! Please look for the practice test we will do before hand.
SCIENCE: We are focusing on Social Studies.
SOCIAL STUDIES: We are going to start our lesson on Family History.
