Late homework

Students are expected to complete homework on the day assigned and turn it in on time.  Many students are not doing their homework or turning it in the following day.  I have  just been warning the students and sending home an “Oops” note.  However, students are continuing to forget homework on a daily basis and are not even having their parents sign the “Oops” note.  We are already in the month of March and students should be held responsible for turning in homework on time.  We write all assignments in the planner, so the only excuse for not turning in homework is if you were absent.  Therefore, starting Monday, March 7th any student who does not turn their homework in on time will automatically change their card to yellow.  There will no longer be “Oops” notes sent home.  I will contact parents of students who continually do not turn in their homework.  Again, homework is the student’s responsibility to complete and turn in at school.  Thank you for your help and cooperation.

Box Tops Contest

Don’t forget a bout the boxtop contest!  Please make sure you are sending in your boxtops to school in a plastic baggie with your teachers name on it.  Each boxtop earns the class 1 point and if you send in a baggie of 50 clipped and labeled you will earn an extra 10 points!!  Classroom that brings in the most will win a pizza party!  Contest runs until Wednesday April 6th.  Happy Clipping!
