Reminder: All items for Grade Level Raffle Baskets are due on Tuesday, May 2! Please make sure the kids have what they agreed to donate! Everything is due on May 2 so that the PTA can assemble the baskets for the Snow Family Carnival on Friday, May 19! Thanks for your help and cooperation!

NWEA Testing is this Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Please make sure your child arrives to school on time, has a good breakfast, and has had a good night’s sleep.
M-Step testing for 4th grade begins May 2nd. Students will be testing every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings. Please do not schedule any appointments for your child on these days. Thank you!

Reminder that all Sports Themed Raffle Basket items are due by May 2nd. As of now, we’ve only had 2 families send in donations. These raffle baskets are one of the best ways to raise money during the picnic, so please consider donating an item.
The Box Tops contest runs through May 5th. Send in any Box Tops to our classroom.

Snow Schools K-4 classes have been invited to watch the musical “Aladdin” at Stout Middle School this Thursday, April 20th. Students must have a parent sign and return the permission slip by tomorrow (Wednesday, April 19th). The students will be walking to Stout at 9:00 a.m. and returning to school around 11:30 a.m. There is no cost for this field trip! Unfortunately, seating is limited, so no parent chaperones will be able to come along with us. Students will return to school in time for lunch. Thank you to the Stout Theater for allowing us to witness all of their hard work!

Reminder that Spring Pictures are tomorrow (Tuesday). Students do NOT have to send in any money tomorrow. All students will have their pictures taken, then a proof will be sent home and you can decide to purchase a package or return the proof.

Our Box Tops Contest is continuing until the first week of May. Please turn in any box tops to our classroom.
All items for the Sports Themed Raffle Basket are due by May 2nd. The PTA needs time to organize each basket before the picnic on May 19th.
The PTA meeting on May 4th will include elections for next year’s positions.
Snow School Field Day is scheduled for June 9th.
We have a field trip to the Detroit Zoo scheduled for June 14th. Any parent chaperones who would like to attend MUST have a background check on file in the office. It takes 10-14 days to be approved, so start checking now! More information will be coming home in May.
We will have our Unit 6 Common Assessment Test in Social Studies this coming Thursday on the Chromebooks. We will complete a study guide in class on Tuesday that will go home to help study.
The Unit 7 Test in Math (fractions/decimals) will be next Monday. A study guide will be completed in class this Thursday and will go home to help students study.
Our NWEA testing will begin this week. Over the next few weeks the 4th graders will be taking 4 NWEA tests (Reading, Math, Language, Science) and 3 M-Step tests (ELA, Math, Science). All testing will be done in the mornings, so it is important that all students arrive to school on time, have had a healthy breakfast, have had a good night’s sleep, and bring a water bottle to keep at their desk during testing.

Line up before school is returning to the blacktop off of Houston Street for grades 2-5. Students should not be walking through the hallways to get to the playground. All students should be in line outside for the pledge at 8:35 a.m.
Reminder that this Wednesday, April 12th is a Late Start day. The first bell will ring at 9:35 a.m.

The 4th grade theme for the Snow School Picnic Raffle Baskets is “Sports”. Please consider donating items for our Sports Basket over the next few weeks. The school picnic is scheduled for May 19th this year, so we need the basket a few days before the picnic.
Students need to remember to bring their recorders to school every Thursday for Music.
