Science Fair Project grades 3-5

Good afternoon families of students grades 3-5,
This year your child will be required to do a science experiment.  Requirements will be sent home this evening.  Please have your child search/brainstorm ideas that may interest him/her.  The “Science Fair Project Getting Started” Idea Slip is due back to your child’s classroom teacher before the winter break.
Thank you for your support

5th Grade Holiday Celebration!

Our 5th grade classes will be enjoying a festive Holiday party on December 22nd from 9:00am to approximately 11:00 am in the Snow cafeteria.   We’re planning on having a delicious pancake breakfast, cooked by our very own 5th grade teachers! While the students are enjoying a wonderful home-cooked breakfast, they will be able to sit with friends and watch a G-rated Holiday movie.

We have several items that we are in need of to make our celebration a success.  Please check the link on the classroom blog to sign up for any item(s) needed for our party.  Your generosity is extremely appreciated, and we thank you so much!

Have a wonderful, and safe, Holiday Season!

Holiday Gift Exchange

There was a mis-print on the flier that I sent home earlier this week.  The Holiday Gift Exchange in our class is Friday, December 22nd.  All students who are choosing to participate need to bring in their “boy” gift or “girl” gift by Friday, December 22nd in the morning.

Ms. Shene’s Holiday Gift Exchange

On Friday, December 22nd our class will be doing a holiday gift exchange.  Students can buy a gift to exchange with another student in our classroom.  The gift should be no more than $5.00.  If your child is a boy, he should buy a gift for a boy.  If your child is a girl, she should buy a gift for a girl.  Please have the gift wrapped and labeled, “To: Boy, From: Student’s name” or “To: Girl, From: Student’s name.  Each child who brings in a gift will receive a gift in exchange.  This is optional, so you do not have to buy a gift.  However, that means your child will not receive a gift from another student.  This is a fun activity that the students enjoy and encourages the idea of giving to others.  Please make sure all gifts are brought to school by Friday, December 22nd if your child is participating.  If you have any questions, please email me at shenew@dearbornschools.org.

Snow School Achievement Showcase

Snow School is looking for ways our students are involved in the community and outside of our school day.  If your children are in programs or activities in which they have achieved something- the next level, recognition for their services, involvement in programs, medals in sports, volunteer activities, church or scouts, the list could be endless!- and you wish to let us help you celebrate with them- please send in a photo for our Achievements Showcase!  It is located in the lobby and is seen by everyone!  We welcome the opportunity to promote all the good that our students at Snow do OUTSIDE their school day.  If you have questions please see Ms. Zechar.  Thanks!!
