5th GRADE PROMOTION INFORMATION

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We cannot believe it is the end of the year!  Tuesday, June 12 is our 5th Grade Promotion from 1:15-2:25 in the snow Gymnasium.  It’s a time for students, teachers, friends, and families to celebrate all of our students, and the hard work and determination they have displayed during their elementary years by honoring them at the 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony.  It is a serious and solemn ceremony, so we encourage all students to dress their best.  Some nice options for boys are dress slacks, with a button up collared shirt, with a tie or bow-tie.  For girls, summer dresses are nice, rompers, and/or skirts and tops.  Please be mindful of the shoes the girls are wearing because the walk through the halls and ceremony require them to be in those shoes for a long period of time.

The 5th grade walk through the hall takes place before the Promotion Ceremony at 1:15.  Please get there ahead of time to line the lobby on either side.  This last 5th grade walk, we promise, you do not want to miss.

Your child may be signed out at 11:00 to go home, get dressed up and eat lunch before returning at 12:45.  You must sign YOUR student out, and back in, with the school office on Tuesday for them to be able to leave and return to the building.

We look forward to celebrating this beautiful occasion,

Mr. DeSantis

Mrs. Dumke

Ms. Shene

Ms. Sherlock

Week of June 4-8

No more spelling tests for the rest of the school year.  We will have a Spelling Bee the last week of school, so students should go back through their Student Planners to study the words since the beginning of the year.

We will finish our NWEA testing this week with Science.  All NWEA reports will be sent home with the final report cards.
