Reminder that Extended Day tutoring begins tomorrow (Tuesday) morning for those students who were invited.  If you have not returned your permission slip, please do so by tomorrow.

Students will have a Math Quiz on Topics D and E (adding and subtracting multi-digit numbers) this coming Friday.  Students should be using their checked and returned homework and exit tickets to study for the quiz.

Reminder to make sure you have a background check on file in the office if you plan on attending our field trip on December 6th.

Students should be reading 20-30 minutes every night and filling in their reading logs.  Also, students should be filling in their Student Planners every day and have a parent sign it every day.  This is a main form of communication between school and home and it is very important that parents are looking at their child’s planner and signing it daily.

The Scholastic Book Fair will be coming to Snow next Monday-Wednesday.  Our class will be visiting the Book Fair on Tuesday morning.  Please send money to school with your child next Tuesday if they plan on buying items from the Book Fair.  More information will be coming home soon from the PTA.

Our classroom will be having a small Halloween Party next Wednesday, October 31st at 2:30 p.m.    Students may wear costumes to school (they will not be able to change into their costume in school).  Please remember that no masks, weapons, or distracting make up is allowed for any students in the school.  Students may also bring candy to pass out to students in our class only.  Please go to the following Sign Up Genius link to donate items for the party.

It is important that all students complete and turn in their homework on time.  It is your child’s responsibility to turn in any late or missing assignments.  If these assignments are not turned in, it will affect your child’s grade on their report card.

If you are interested in attending our 4th grade field trip to Legoland in Auburn Hills on December 6th, please check with Michelle Segerson in the office to make sure you have an updated background check on file.  Background checks are good for 3 years and take up to 10 days to be processed.  If you wait until right before our field trip, you may not have the background check approved in time.  More information about the field trip will be coming home in the next few weeks.

Recorders

Just a reminder to bring your recorders and books to school for music every Monday!

Field Trip on December 6th

Just a heads up that the fourth grade classes will be taking a field trip to Legoland in Great Lakes Crossing in Auburn Hills on Thursday, December 6th.  The cost will be $12 per student.  We will be in need of parent chaperones on this trip (price to be determined soon).  So please look at your upcoming schedules to see if you are available to join us and make sure you have an updated background check on file in the office.  Background checks are good for three years and take up to 10 business days to get approved.  The final payment will be due 2 weeks before our trip.  More information and a permission slip will be coming home in the next few weeks.  I just wanted to get a head start and make sure background checks are on file and parents can take the day off of work to join us!

Have a great weekend!

Thank you!
