Students must be completing a least 2 lessons on Zearn.org each week. As of today, students should be on Lesson 13. Any students that have not completed the required assignments will miss indoor free time. Next Monday, students should be on Lesson 15 or higher. Students are given time in class to complete their work, however they can work on these assignments at home as well.
Students must be reading 30 minutes every night and filling our their Reading Log. This is a district initiative.
Snow School Family Literacy Night is next Monday, March 11th from 4:00-5:15 p.m. Please join us for some fun literacy activities at school!
The 4th graders will be attending an orchestra performance on March 19th at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center in Dearborn. A permission slip will be coming home soon. This is a free half day field trip. Due to limited seating, we will not be permitting parent chaperones.
We have completed Module 3 in Math and will be taking the End of Module assessment today. Therefore, the class will be starting Module 4 in Math tomorrow about Geometry. Please remember that we check our homework altogether as a class. It is your child’s responsibility to follow along as we check and to make corrections on their own paper to learn from their mistakes. We take the time to ask and answer questions that students had on their homework. Students receive 1 point if they completed their homework and 0 points if they did not complete their homework.
Help! Many of the headphones we use in class have been broken by students. We no longer have enough headphones for everyone in the class. Many students have brought their own headphones to class and that is greatly appreciated.
Please send in any headphones that your child can use in school, or we are looking for donations of headphones or earbuds to be used in class.
Thank you:)
Good evening Snow Families,
PTA will be selling popcorn during lunches tomorrow. Bags are 25 cents each.
Thank you and have a great evening!

Students should be completing at least 2 lessons on Zearn each week. They are given time in class after Bellwork and throughout the day to complete this task. If they lessons are not completed in class, students must go onto Zearn.org at home to complete the required assignments. I print off a report every Monday to see where each student currently is on Zearn. If a student has not completed the required assignments, he/she will clip down and miss indoor recess until the lessons are completed.
Students are expected to read for 30 minutes each day and fill in their Reading Log. This is a district reading initiative. Students who do not read every day usually do not show the required growth on NWEA by the end of the year. Please make sure your child is reading every night and a parent is signing the Reading Log.
We are finishing Module 3 in Math this week with 2-digit by 2-digit multiplication. The Module 3 End Assessment will be next Monday, March 4th. Students may take home their Learn books to help them study for the test, along with using corrected and returned homework assignments and exit tickets. The assessment will test concepts from Lesson 14-38. Please make sure you review the concepts with your child at home so he/she will be ready for the test on Monday.
Movie Night is this Wednesday, February 27th. Please refer to the flier that was sent home from the PTA last week.
Snow School’s Book Fair is this Monday-Wednesday. Our class will be going to the Book Fair tomorrow (Tuesday) from 9:25-9:45 a.m. Please send money to school with your child tomorrow if they plan on buying items from the book fair. Otherwise, families may visit the Book Fair after school Monday-Tuesday until 4:30 p.m.
