The Math Mid Module 4 Assessment has been graded and is coming home today. Please sign and return the attached paper with your child’s score.

We will finish our NWEA testing this week with Language. Once all testing has been completed, a report will be sent home so you can see how your child scored on all three tests compared to September.

New Reading Groups will be assigned after NWEA testing is completed. Until then, students do NOT have a Reading Bag book assignment, however your child should be reading at least 30 minutes every day with a book of their choice.

Week of January 13-17

Content Words: Earth, distance, cycle, phases, seasons

Students will be using protractors in school to measure angles. Protractors will be sent home to complete students’ homework. Please make sure all protractors are returned to school each day since they are school property.

The second card marking ends this Friday. If your child is missing any assignments, please make sure everything has been turned in before the end of the day Friday.

Students have started NWEA testing. Last week we completed the Reading Test. This week we will work on Math and next week we will complete Language. Once all testing is completed, a report of your child’s scores will be sent home.

Due to NWEA testing, reading groups will be reorganized for the second half of the year. Once your child completes the assignments for their reading bag this week, they will not receive a new book until groups have been reorganized. Students should still read 30 minutes every night from a book of their choice.

Reminder that this Friday, January 17th is a HALF DAY. Students will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m.

Healthy Snack

Mrs. Alcodray would like to remind all parents that only healthy snacks are allowed in school. Students should not be bringing in chips, cookies, etc.

Thank you!
