Thank you to Mrs. Andrews, Mrs. Aun, Mrs. Petersen, and Mr. Sikora for chaperoning our field trip last Friday. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Reminder that students must read 30 minutes every night and fill in their Weekly Reading Log. All Weekly Reading Logs are due on Monday. Any student who does not return their log will walk the track during recess until they return the log to school.

Students are to keep up with their assignments in the Reading Bags. Several students have not been keeping up on their assignments. Reading Bags are a Snow School initiative that all students must read and write every night.

We are continuing on Module 5 on Fractions in Math. Students should be completing at least 2 lessons a week on Zearn.org which reinforces what we are learning in class.

Students are invited to bring Valentines Cards and/or candy to school this coming Friday, February 14th for our Valentines Celebration. A list of students’ names was sent home last week. We currently have 29 students in class, so please make sure you bring in enough cards/candy for everyone.

Week of February 3-7

Students completed Math Module 4 last week and we will begin Module 5 on Fractions today. Students who took the End of Module 4 Assessment last Friday will have their tests coming home today. Please sign and return the test. Students who did not take the test of Friday will take the test today and it will come home later this week to be signed and returned.

WIDA testing begins this week.

Our 4th grade field trip to the Detroit Science Center is this Friday, February 7th. Students must bring a packed lunch from home and wear comfortable walking shoes. A letter to parent chaperones with directions will be coming home this week.

Wednesday, February 5th is a LATE START. The first bell will ring at 9:35 a.m.

Students MUST keep up with their Reading Bag assignments every day. Students are given a book to read and assigned writing in their Reading Bags Monday through Thursday. It is your child’s responsibility to keep up with their homework. Parents should be checking their child’s Reading Bags nightly to make sure it is being completed on time.

The next PTA meeting is this Thursday, February 6th at 3:45 p.m. in the Media Center. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend.
