Unit 3 Math test grades

I will be sending home a note today stating what your child’s score was on the Unit 3 Math test on measurement.  If you would like to see the test, please send a note to school or send me an email stating that you would like to see the test and will return it to school afterwards.  These tests are needed for report cards and many families have not been returning tests that are sent home to be signed by a parent.  I will send home all of the tests after the second report cards are completed in January.  Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Reading Bags will start coming home tomorrow.  Students will receive a reading bag that they are responsible for each week.  The bag will contain a book that the student needs to read at home, and a piece of paper for students to do their assignment.  Usually, the assignment will be answering the questions at the end of the book.  Students should copy each of the 3 questions and answer them in complete sentences.  All book bags MUST be returned every MONDAY so that I can collect the books and assignments and get the new books ready for Tuesday.  Please monitor your child to make sure they are reading and comprehending the book in their book bag.  You can use this book for their 20 minutes of daily reading and fill in the Student Reading Log with this book as well!

Popcorn day is Friday, December 5th.  Each bag is $0.50.  Please turn in the money and order form by Friday morning.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all of the families that celebrate the holiday!

Please have your child go to xtramath.org over the break and read 20 minutes every night.

Starting after the Thanksgiving break, students will be bringing home Reading Bags.  They will receive the Reading bag every Tuesday.  Students must read the book at home and answer the questions at the end of the book.  They must copy each question and answer the question in a complete sentence.  Reading Bags will be due every Monday.

If you have not already returned the Science quiz, please sign and return the quiz to school on Monday.  I am waiting on ten students to return their quiz.  If parents do not sign and return quizzes/tests, I will not be able to send them home until after each card marking.  Please be respectful and return papers to school.
