Starting today, students will have a Reading Bag that will be coming home with them.  Inside the Reading Bag there is a book that your child needs to read at home.  There is an assignment inside that needs to be completed at home as well.  Reading Bags will come home every Tuesday, and should be returned every MONDAY.  Students should read part of the book each night and work on the assignment after the book has been read.  Both the book and assignment must be returned on Monday in order for me to exchange books/assignments to go home on Tuesday.  If your child returns the Reading Bag late, they may not get their new book on time.  This week’s assignment is to answer the three “Think and Compare” questions at the back of the book.  Students are to write the answers to each question neatly and in complete sentences on the paper provided.  Make sure the student’s name and book title are on the top of the paper.  Please encourage your child to work on this each day.  Do not wait until Sunday night to read the book and complete the assignment.  Enjoy reading and learning with your child at home!
