Reading Bags are due every Monday.  Students are expected to read the book throughout the week at home, then complete the assignment.  Many students have not been putting effort into their assignments and are receiving a “4” as their grade.  Please make sure your child is working to their best ability on all homework.

Literacy Night is TONIGHT from 5:00-6:00 p.m.  Lots of fun activities for the family that involve literacy.  I hope to see you there!

Parent Teacher Conferences are this Thursday, March 26th.  If you have not received an invitation from me, you do NOT need to come to conferences.  If you have a specific question or concern you may stop by anytime between 4:00-7:00 p.m.

Congratulations to Silvia for being the first student to pass all of her three minute multiplication and division tests.  She is the first member of the “Math Wizards Club“!!!

Spirit Week is coming up starting Monday, March 30 and ending Thursday, April 2!  Be part of the fun!  We are using this week as a fund raising effort for the PBIS Program.  We are asking for 50 cents per day to participate, or $2.00 for the four days.  Money can be given to the classroom teacher.  Everyone is asked to dress for a theme each day:
Monday, March 30-Hat and Moustache Day
Tuesday, March 31– Wear Your Teacher’s Favorite Color Day
Wednesday, April 1– Wear Your Favorite Sports Team Apparel Day
Thursday, April 2– Crazy Hair Day
There will be ONE Spirit Award given to the class with the highest percentage of participation.
Our PBIS Reward Party for March will be on Thursday, April 2, from 2:45-3:15pm.  Weather permitting it will be RECESS for ALL!
Looking forward to a fun filled and SPIRITED WEEK!
