Reminder that this Friday, April 13th is our field trip to the Detroit Institute of Arts. Students must fill out and return the permission slip by this Thursday. All students must bring a packed lunch from home.  All parent chaperones must check with the office to see if they have a current background check on file in order to accompany us on the field trip.  There will be room on the buses for chaperones to ride with us, or you may choose to drive separately.  Please check in at the office in the morning and come down to out classroom at 9:00 a.m. to here instructions.

5th grade Service and Safety Tigers Game permission slips are due by April 26th.  The actual game is May 2nd.  There is no cost for this reward field trip.  Please send in permission slips before the due date.

It’s that time of year for the 5th graders to send in a baby picture and a current picture for our 5th grade “Who Am I” bulletin board.  The pictures should be no larger than a 5×7, preferably a 3×5 or 4×6 size.  All pictures will be returned at the end of the year.  A paper is coming home today with more information.

5th grade M-Step starts tomorrow.  All 5th graders will begin with the ELA portion of the M-Step this week.  Testing will be in the morning from 9:00-10:00ish every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for the next three weeks.  Students should get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, arrive to school on time, bring a water bottle and snack, and they may bring in their own headphones if they would like.  The fourth graders will join the other fourth grade classrooms for instruction during M-Step testing.
