Look for informational text features in the book you read. you do not have to write them.(bold print, picture captions, diagrams, headings.)

Watch the story video.  Make a chart to write all the words you see in the story with the y making the long I sound like cry on one side and words using the ight spelling pattern on the other side.

Solve the following word problem with a picture, number sentence, and a statement with your answer:Peter and Fran each have an equal (same) number of pattern blocks.  There are 12 pattern blocks altogether.  How many pattern blocks does Fran have?
Writing:
When the playgrounds open, what will you do?
Give 3-4 details.  What friends will you call to meet you there?  What will you play first, second, and third?

Social Studies:

Writing:
You win a trip on an African safari!  What animal are you hoping to see?  Give 3 details.  Why do you want to see this animal?  What does it look like?
Social Studies:
Draw a picture and write about a holiday that you celebrate.  How do you celebrate?Special food? Family? Traditions?
Science:
Click on the link below to read  a story called, “Shadow Play.”  After the book, there is an activity called Trace Your Shadow that can you complete if you have time. You will need sidewalk chalk to do it. Do not move on to Mystery 3!

Remember to use the words; 
In the beginning, Next, Then, After that , and Finally.
Spelling: eat   seat   meat   cheat   feed   greet   fleet   seed  where   friend 
Have a parent give you the spelling test on a seperate sheet of paper.  How did you do?
