Reading:
Read at least one informational book on kids a-z and answer the questions. 

Look for informational text features in the book you read. (bold print, picture captions, diagrams, headings.)

Include a topic sentence, at least three reasons and a conclusion.

Pick at least four spelling words and write a sentence for each word. 
Include an adjective in each sentence. Remember, an adjective is a describing word like gigantic or funny.

In your opinion, what is the best dessert?  Write a topic sentence, at least 3 reasons to support your answer and a conclusion.
Sight Words:Practice your sight word flashcards with someone. Put the words that were a bit slower in a separate pile and practice them again.

If you could be a butterfly for one whole day, what would you do?  Where would you go?  What would you eat?  Tell me at least 3 things that you would do.

Social Studies:
Interview an adult (mom, dad, grandma, grandpa) and ask them the following question:
In the past, how did you find information?

Now, ask yourself: How do we find information in the present (today)?
Think about how their answer is different than what we do in the present to find out information. Write your answer explaining the difference.

Practice your spelling words in a fun way.  Use playdough, sidewalk chalk or legos.  Use whatever you have at home.  Be creative and have fun!

Reread your writing from yesterday. 
Make sure all of your sentences start with capital letters and end with a punctuation mark.  Add at least 4 adjectives to help describe your writing better. 
Ex.Instead of just saying eggs, you could say tiny eggs or white eggs.  When you are done adding details and editing, read your writing to someone at your house!
Sight Words:
Have someone test you on your sight words.  Count how many sight words you read quickly.  Tell your teacher how many you read.
