I have another experiment for you to try. Remember to go through all the steps especially the predication part.

Use tinfoil to build a boat.

Question:  How many pennies will it take to sink my boat?

Prediction:  Predict how many pennies it will take to sink your boat. Use the language….  I predict___________.

• Observations:   Put your boat in a sink or bowl of water. One at a time put pennies in the boat until the boat sinks. Count them.

Conclusion:  How many pennies did it take?  I conclude…..

Challenge yourself. Change the shape of your boat and see if your conclusion is the same. What about building  the boat with a different material?
