Good morning. I am sorry that it is a little later than I have been posting. Due to the temporary warm weather (that is supposed to be gone in a couple of hours), I took the kids for a walk. We have not been outside for two days. That was their PE class for today.
Anyway, I came across an interesting article for you all to read this morning. It caught my attention because the headline included one of our ELA 6 vocabulary words, “lexicon”. Read about how words matter and new vocabulary has been learned by all with the pandemic going on (did you know what that word was before all of this?). Here is the article: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/in-pandemic-word-definitions-shift-and-new-lexicon-emerges/ar-BB11rFxm?ocid=spartanntp
Speaking of ELA 6, please do another 30 minutes of SAT practice and make sure that you are ready for chapter 5 questions from Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass on Monday.
ELA 8, I hope that you are enjoying your reading week. Might as well continue with chapter 6 of The Kite Runner. There will be questions and work to do on chapters 1-6 on Monday.
E2020 students, keep on working on your classes. E-mail me when you need something unlocked.
Have a good weekend!
