Alphabet Chart

Here is a copy of the alphabet chart. This is how you can use this at home parents:

  1. Read each letter name and say the name of the item in the box. Make the sound that each letter makes. 
  2. When your child is writing, they can use this chart to help them search for the letter that makes the sound that they are writing.
  3. Play a search and find game…” I am looking for the letter that makes the sound /K/” ..Your child will find the letter.

Reading with a beginner reader:

  • Give your child time to read.
  • Let your child reread the same books for fluency.
  • Encourage attention to print.
  • Take turns reading.
