I just wanted to make sure everyone understood that the Nutcracker and Holiday Nights are two different events!  Holiday Nights is December 21..Each singer for Holiday nights is given ONE complimentary ticket. If additional tickets are needed, they need to be purchased.

Following are the Nutcracker dates. Parents need to purchase tickets for the Nutcracker.   Tickets for Nutcracker can be purchased at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center. 

TUESDAY November  24 Rehearsal 3:50-5:05 Stout MS- Nutrcacker Group Only

Monday – Nov. 30- Meet 6:15pm – The Max Orchestra Hall, Detroit. We will be done approximately 8:15pm.

Wednesday – Dec. 2 – call time 6:30pm  in lobby .Dress rehearsal – Ford Community and Performing Arts Center., Dearborn Finish approximately 8:30.

Thursday – Dec. 3  Final Dress Rehearsal – FCPAC – call time 6:30 in Lobby. Finish approx 8:30pm

___Friday – December 4– Performance – FCPAC . Call time 7:00pm.  Performance 8pm. Finish approx. 9:30pm.

____Saturday – December 5 TWO performances today! 1) Call time 12:00pm. Performance at 1:00pm. 2)  Call time 6:00pm Performance at 7:00pm.

Great rehearsal last week!  I am looking forward to hearing the students again today!!!  Please be sure to bring your Nutcracker commitment form today.  A reminder that a little more than half of you have paid the activity fee.   Please get it in today if possible.  If you have paid a fee for another activity, please let me know so I can record it!  Thanks!

Just a reminder that rehearsal begins at 3:50 pm.  We have had several students coming in at 4pm and later.  Since we only rehearse once a week, we need our full hour and 15 minutes.  Please be on time. Thank you!

If your child has the opportunity to bring a treat, please note that we do have some students with severe peanut and milk allergies.  Please avoid bringing anything with peanuts or peanut butter as well as milk.  Thank you so much!

Great rehearsal yesterday! The students are working very hard!  We have a longstanding tradition in our group – if a student forgets his/her music folder, they can bring treats the following week for the group. Treats can be something small and easy like a mini donut, a cookie, mini cupcake, etc. We have 40 singers in our group.  While it is optional, it is a fun thing for the kids to look forward to and the student who brings the treats enjoys passing it out to everyone!  Thank you to Gretchen Bowman and Nora Heaton for bringing our first treats yesterday!

Students received their binders with music yesterday.  Please be sure to pack them in your backpacks so you have them each week!  We have a fun tradition – students who forget their music binders bring a treat to rehearsal the following week. A treat could be cookies, cupcakes, etc….  We currently have 40 singers 🙂  Plus Mr.Walters and myself. 🙂

Just a reminder we have rehearsal tomorrow at Stout!  We will be getting folders with music in them.  I look forward to seeing and hearing all of you!

Our first rehearsal for Secondary Honors Choir is tomorrow!  Thursday, Oct. 1 from 3:50-5:05 pm at Stout Middle School. Please make sure that your child has arrived by 3:45pm to check in and get a folder.  Please bring the activity fee of $20 check made out to Dearborn Public Schools and include the singers name in the memo line.

I will need two parent helpers tomorrow  for the first half of rehearsal.  Please let me know if you are able to help! Thank you!
