A reminder the tree lighting is Monday, Dec. 7. Please arrive in the ballroom of the Civic Center no later than 6:15. We will rehearse our piece and also rehearse with the elementary choir.
Please, please practice African Noel and also Hot cup of Cocoa. They should be on the blog.
We need EVERYONE to be successful! All singers are expected to be at this performance!
Unfiform is the same – black long pants, black long sleeve shirt, colorful scarf or colorful tie for boys.

Hello! I need one parent volunteer for tonight (Thursday) and one for Saturday at 7pm show. You role would involve sitting with the students in the upper balcony (lots of stairs involved) and sitting in the box while the students sing. If you are able , please reply to this post and include the day you can do. You would see the show for free 🙂 Thank you!

Just a couple of quick things! Since we have Nutcracker on Thursday, we will NOT meet for regular rehearsal at Stout. We will only meet for Nutcracker.
When arriving at the Center for rehearsals and performance, please meet at the TOP of the stairs on the 2nd floor. It is very important that the singers are not running around the lobby.
For uniforms, please remember Black dress pants, long sleeve black shirts, colorful scarves/ties, black dress shoes, black socks. Parents, please make sure the ladies are modest – if your singer is wearing leggings, please make sure the top is long enough to cover front and back.
Also, the part we sing is right before intermission (about 50 min into show). When we are finished, singers have the option to stay and watch the rest of the show or head home with family. If singers stay, parents need to be prepared to pick them up 1 hour and 45 min after show begins. So for 7 pm show, pick up at 8:45 etc. If singers go home at intermission, please let Ms. Pegouske know you are leaving.
Finally, please be prepared in the event we are done early on Wed and Thurs. It really depends on the how the entire rehearsal is going. Thanks for being patient!

Friday – December 4– Performance – FCPAC . Call time 7:00pm. Performance 8pm.
Saturday – December 5 TWO performances today! 1) Call time 12:00pm. Performance at 1:00pm. 2) Call time 6:00pm Performance at 7:00pm.
What a wonderful week of singing to start the season! Just a reminder, after our whirlwind of Nutcracker, we also have the Dearborn Tree Lighting on Monday, Dec. 7. We do need everyone there to be successful. Here are the details:
Performance is at Ford Community and Performing Arts Center (FCPAC). Singers are to meet at the center in the ballroom by 6:15. Performance will begin at 7:00!
ATTIRE:
All students are to wear their concert black for this performance. This means:
Black Pants (floor length)
Black Top (long sleeves) (Boys may wear a long sleeve button down shirt with a colored tie)
Black Shoes
Black Socks
Colored Scarf
Thank you again for all of your support and commitment! This event is such a great start to the holiday season and our city loves that we take part.
Just a reminder that rehearsal is at the Max M. Music Center Monday. A map and instructions were sent home last Tuesday. Please arrive at 6:25 so you can park and get inside by 6:30. We will try to be finished by 8. Please make sure your child has a way to contact you so we can all get home as quickly as possible. Singers please run through your music at least twice before you arrive. Park in the garage. You will need to tell the attendant that you are singing with the Civic Orchestra for the Nutcracker rehearsal so you are not charged for parking. There is a waiting area inside for parents to stay if needed or you can pick your child up at 8:00Here is the address:

Just a reminder we have NUTCRACKER rehearsal Tuesday from 3:50-5:05pm. This is for the NUTCRACKER group only. Please bring $1 for pizza! It will be the end to our hard work! We will need one parent to pick up the pizza and one parent to bring some plates and napkins. See you Tuesday!
I will also be passing out maps and info for the rehearsal on Monday, Nov. 30 at the Max M Fisher Music Center. 🙂 Please be on the lookout for them.
